CHARACTERISTICS OF PERCUTANEOUS CORONARY INTERVENTION AMONG PATIENTS WITH ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION WITH PAROXYSMS OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION
Abstract
Acute coronary syndromes (ACS) represent an exacerbation of the stable course of coronary heart disease and are clinically manifested by the formation of myocardial infarction (MI), development of unstable angina (UA) or sudden death. The unity of pathogenesis (rupture of atherosclerotic plaque, endothelial erosion, occlusive or appendicular thrombosis of coronary artery, etc.) allowed, with certain limitations, to unite these conditions under the heading of ACS. In addition, the introduction of the term ACS was conditioned by the need to quickly decide whether reperfusion (thrombolytic or interventional) therapy should be performed before the final diagnosis of large-focal myocardial infarction is established
