DAR MULTILINGUA IN HEALING THE VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE

Abstract

Nowadays, the postulate of domestic and in particular sexual violence against women remains an acute topic for social discussion. There are numerous education improvements introduced in the aim of increasing the support of actual victims of sexual violence and blaming the offenders. However, according to our current research results, the social awareness towards potential and actual victims are diametrically different. It often leads to the fact that the potential sufferer seeks for help at the moment, when the society is not radically ready to provide it, but, once the violence is committed and social representatives are ready to fight for women’s right, this actual woman does not either need this kind of support, or does not believe in a truthfulness of the social awareness as it is. Anyway, the current stage of social development still expects various changes both in a social attitude to upbringing young individuals and developing qualitatively new methods of re-integration and re-socialization of actual victims of sexual violence in the aim of enabling them experience their after-violence life for full. The last two postulates we are going to disclose in a detailed way in the frame of our current research.
