COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF POST-QUANTUM DIGITAL SIGNATURE ALGORITHMS FOR ETHEREUM BLOCKCHAIN INTEGRATION

PDF

Abstract

This research examines the integration challenges and implementation strategies for post-quantum digital signature algorithms within the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem. With the advancement of quantum computing technology posing significant threats to traditional cryptographic mechanisms, particularly the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) employed in Ethereum, there exists an urgent need to evaluate and implement quantum-resistant alternatives. This study analyzes three NIST-standardized algorithms — Dilithium, Falcon, and SPHINCS+ — through the lens of their mathematical foundations, performance characteristics, and implementation feasibility within Ethereum's architectural constraints
