CLINICAL EFFECTIVENESS AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF ENDOVIDEOSURGICAL TREATMENT OF HIATAL HERNIA

PDF

Abstract

The hernia of the esophageal orifice of the diaphragm can be divided into 3 groups; a sliding hernia of the esophageal orifice of the diaphragm or type I, a paraesophageal hernia of the esophageal orifice of the diaphragm or type II and a mixed hernia or type III. This latter type, depending on the contents (intestine, omentum, spleen...), may constitute the fourth group in this classification.
