RESULTS OF SKIN GRAFTING IN THE ELIMINATION OF TOTAL SCAR DEFORMITIES

PDF

Abstract

In foreign literature, surgical rehabilitation of patients with facial burns is considered as a single comprehensive process, within which three categories of surgical interventions are distinguished: urgent procedures threatening vital structures (correction of eyelid ectropion, severe microstomia, flexion contracture of the neck); early interventions performed in the presence of functional disorders that do not threaten vital functions; and late interventions carried out after scar maturation, aimed at correcting scar-related aesthetic deformities
