MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF GROUND DEFORMATION OF A RESERVOIR DAM BODY

Abstract

The foundations of reservoir dams are deformed under the influence of various factors. Deformation mainly occurs due to soil compaction during operation, displacement of soil particles during filtration from the dam body, or mechanical suffocation. In soil particles, normal s and tensile t stresses arise against displacement. Here, the normal stress causes the particle to deform, but no shear occurs. The tensile stress is caused by the frictional resistance of the particles. The test voltage is half the normal voltage.
