THE PRAGMATIC POTENTIAL OF DEIXIS IN MODERN SPANISH-LANGUAGE DISCOURSE
Abstract
In Spanish-language discourse, deixis serves as one of the key mechanisms for realizing the pragmatic intention of the addressee. The use of pronouns, adverbs, tenses, and other deictic means contributes to the actualization of various concepts related to national identity, cultural memory, social solidarity, and institutional interaction.
