PROMPT ENGINEERING AS A NEW COMPONENT OF ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES (ESP) COMPETENCE IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

The article theoretically substantiates prompt engineering as a new component of ESP competence in higher education. Contemporary studies on generative artificial intelligence, AI literacy, and English for Specific Purposes are analyzed. The role of prompt engineering within the structure of ESP competence is identified, and prospects for its integration into the professional training of future specialists are outlined.
