CLINICAL-GENETIC PREDICTORS OF SEVERE MAXILLOFACIAL PHLEGMONIA

Abstract

Despite advancements in medicine, the prevalence of acute purulent-inflammatory diseases (APIDs) of the maxillofacial region remains high, accounting for up to 20% of all dental pathologies. Cases characterized by an unpredictable, aggressive clinical course pose a distinct challenge. Since conventional diagnostic methods do not always allow for early prediction of complications, identifying prognostic criteria at the molecular-genetic level and developing personalized algorithms based on immunogenetic markers has become highly relevant.
