EFFECTIVENESS OF AMBULATORY MANAGEMENT AND THE STEP–CONTROL THERAPY MODEL IN ELDERLY PATIENTS WITH ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION ASSOCIATED WITH PHYSICAL INACTIVITY
Abstract
Arterial hypertension associated with physical inactivity is one of the major causes of cardiovascular complications, metabolic disorders, and reduced quality of life in elderly patients. Reduced physical activity contributes to sympathetic nervous system activation, insulin resistance, abdominal obesity, increased inflammatory markers, and poor blood pressure control.
