Abstract

Public-private partnership (PPP) is currently one of the most widely used instruments for implementing public initiatives in international practice. PPP mechanisms are extensively applied in infrastructure, transport and logistics, energy, environmental protection, digitalization, the agricultural and water sectors, healthcare, the social sector, and other areas of public development. At the same time, the potential of PPP mechanisms extends far beyond the implementation of individual infrastructure projects. In its narrow sense, public -private partnership represents a model for addressing a public need through the involvement of private-sector resources, where the private partner is motivated by the prospect of economic returns. In a broader context, the term public-private partnership refers to a wide range of projects and models of interaction between the public and private sectors, differing in their institutional, sectoral, and territorial characteristics.
