ANALYSIS OF THE UNIT'S ACTIVITIES IN THE DIRECTION OF THE PROBABLE MAIN STRIKE OF THE ENEMY DURING THE SECOND KARABAKH WAR

Abstract

The article comprehensively analyzes the activities of the unit in the direction of the probable main strike of the enemy within the framework of the Iron Fist operation carried out during the Second Karabakh War, the planning and execution of the operation at the operational- tactical level, and the short results achieved. The purpose of the study is to explain the main features of the joint operations carried out by the unit during the war in interaction with other types of troops, special forces, missile and artillery units, as well as to consider the approaches and assessments of international military experts on the results of these operations. At the same time, the strategic leadership of Ilham Aliyev - the Supreme Commander -in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in achieving the historic victory, the application of modern technologies, and the specific features of combat tactics are separately emphasized. It is noted that various aspects of this war were studied by a number of foreign military research centers and experts and influenced the formation of significant changes in approaches to modern war concepts. As a result of the analytical analysis, the high effectiveness of the interconnected activities of the unit and various special -purpose units operating in the direction of the enemy's probable main strike was determined. During the study, theoretical analysis and scientific research methods were used.
