EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF ADHESION PROPERTIES BETWEEN SULFUR-BASED CONCRETE AND REINFORCEMENT

PDF

Abstract

The reliability and longevity of railway transport infrastructure largely depend on the durability of reinforced concrete structures. In particular, since railway sleepers constantly operate under high static and dynamic loads, improving the physical and mechanical properties of the concrete materials used in them is of great scientific and practical importance. In recent years, sulfur -based concrete, characterized by high chemical resistance, water resistance, fast hardening, and resistance to aggressive e nvironments, has been gaining attention as a promising construction material. At the same time, the adhesive properties of this material with steel reinforcement have not been sufficiently studied, especially in terms of its application in railway structures. The strength of the bond between concrete and reinforcement is considered one of the key factors determining the load -bearing capacity, crack resistance, and operational reliability of the structure.
