PEDAGOGICAL NECESSITY FOR DEVELOPING FUTURE TEACHERS’ COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE AND ITS FUNCTIONAL-INTEGRATIVE STRUCTURE
Abstract
Substantive and technological changes in contemporary education require a new interpretation of the teacher’s professional role. A teacher is no longer merely a specialist who transmits instructional information, but a professional agent who encourages learners to think, supports their individual development, organizes collaboration, and creates a psychologically safe communication environment. All these responsibilities depend on the teacher’s interaction with other people. Therefore, communicative competence is not a secondary attribute of professional teacher preparation; rather, it is a foundational quality that activates theoretical knowledge and methodological expertise in real educational situations. Through pedagogical communication, educational goals are explained, learning activities are coordinated, motivation is supported, feedback is provided, cooperation with parents and colleagues is established, and problematic situations are managed. The ability to express ideas fluently is not sufficient for these purposes.Author Biography
